Urine odor and what is the cause of strong smelling urine

What is the cause of urine odor or why it smell bad like ammonia or acid? Many people complain about urine odor and wanted to deep into it. Because it's a common problem that can happen to anyone. But in certain cases or if the urine odor does not go with in two or three days, it is matter of concern.

Normal urine has ammonia which is a normal product of the metabolism of protein, that cause urine odor like ammonia. If you do not take sufficient water or your body goes dehydrate, there are chances that you can have urine odor too. Sometimes urine also smells like spices, and the reason could be that you might have been consuming a lot of spicy food. But all these are normal symptoms, from which you should get rid of in maximum two or three days. 

But even after two days urine odor is continue and getting stronger smell day by day, one must consult to their doctor as it may cause due to any health related issue, presence of bacteria in urine. 

Few urine diseases that cause urine odor are as follows: 
  • Cystitis (bladder inflammation): This is very common inflammation of the urinary bladder problem, which cause due to infection and is usually accompanied by frequent painful urination.
  • Dehydration: When your body lose water more than it intakes and imbalance the salts and sugar level present in the blood it cause dehydration. And dehydration also cause urine odor.
  • Diabetic ketoacidosis: It causes high levels of blood acids called ketones.  
  • Gastrointestinal-bladder fistula 
  • Maple syrup urine disease 
  • Metabolic disorder
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Urinary tract infection (UTI): It is a very common infection that can happen to anyone and this kind of infection also cause urine odor or smell. The UTI infection can be self diagnosed because of its symptoms. 
UTI infection can be cured within days to weeks depends on the patient condition and the severity of the Infection.

Human arm bones name in the the upper limb and lower arm

Human Arm is consist of three types of bones Humerus, Ulna and the Radius bone

In this post we are going to discuss about the names of the bones in the human arm and their structure.

Bones and its structure in human body can be studied under the human anatomy department. The human anatomy cover almost everything related to different structures of bones, muscles, and skeleton of human body. Hence you can learn the human arm structure and types of bones in human arm under this subject.

According to human anatomy, the human arm extends to the hand that can be further divided into two parts upper arm and the forearm. The upper arm comprise of “humerus” bone, is the long bone in upper limb that connects the arm between shoulder joint and elbow joint. It also connects to the two bones in the forearm (radius and ulna). 

The common structure of human arm or three types of bones in human arm is listed as follows:
  1. Humerus Arm Bone
  2. Radius Arm Bone
  3. Ulna Arm Bone
Humerus arm bone: As we have discuss in the starting of this post, humerus is the long bone in the upper limb that join shoulder and the two bones in the elbow know as radius and ulna. The humerus bone is the longest bone in the human arm and it supports all lifting and physical activities of the hand.
Radius Bone: In arm radius bone is also known as radial bone that is the one of the two large bones in forearm and extends from the lateral side of the elbow to the thumb side of the wrist and runs parallel to the ulna. 

Ulna Bone
Ulna is also a part of the lower arm bone which connects with elbow and extents till smallest finger in the human arm. 

Ulna and the radius bones are parallel to each other and extends till the human hand.

Pyria (pyorrhoea) treatment in ayurveda and best toothpaste for bleeding gums

What is pyorrhea or pyria? Is there any treatment of pyorrhea in Ayurveda?

In the post we are going to talk about periodontal (gums disease)  pyria or pyorrhea, which is caused by gingivitis and plaque buildup that infects the gums resulting in bad breath of mouth, inflammation of gums and in severe condition one can loose their teeth.

Pyorrhea is progressive disease that must be treated on time otherwise it can be worsen and can occurs several other health related issues.

Common symptoms of pyorrhea can be noticed as follows:
  • Bad breath of mouth
  • Inflammation and tenderness, swelling on gums
  • Bleeding gums while brushing your teeth.
  • Loosening of teeth in severe condition
  • Gum pockets and Pus discharge from pockets
  • Mouth ulcers can also be seen at times
  • Abscesses and Receding gums
  • Bone erosion etc..
Treatment of pyorrhea (pyira) - If noticed on time it can be easily treated. Pyorrhea is progressive disease and can be worsen in severe cases, so one must consult with the dentist to halt or reverse by treatment.

If you takes care of normal mouth hygiene there are less chances to occurs pyria. But once it occurs, one must seek for a proper treatment. In ayurveda pyorrhea can be easily treated in natural way. 

Ayurveda treatment of pyorrhea at home
  • One must take care of the oral hygiene
  • Brush teeth at least twice a day
  • If possible use neem datun to clean the teeths.
  • Rinse your mouth every two to three hours every day with mixture of worm water and salt until the situation gets better
  • Use tulsi (bay leaves) powder to clean teeth once a day or mixture of bay leaves(tulsi) powder and mustered oil
  • Or apply the salt and mustered oil mixture on your gums and teeth and rinse it after 10 to 15 minutes with worm water
  • you can use clove oil on yours gums and massage for few minutes to get rid of pain and inflammation. 
  • Use pyorrhea (pyria) toothpaste like vicco toothpaste, Pyrol or Dabur Lal paste or dant manzan etc... these are the best toothpaste for bleeding gums in India. There are many other good toothpaste available in the market that can be used on your doctors advice.  
  • You can also use mouthwash such as colgate mouthwash plax for instant relief.
Note: But these treatment is suggested only in the initial stage or to prevent yourself from occurring pyria, if you are already suffering from pyria than must visit to your doctor(Dentist) for the best treatment. Seek medical advice as soon as possible.

Montair LC dosage, usage and side effects

Montair LC is an anti allergic medicine which is advised in the treatment of many types of allergies like Asthma, allergies caused by dust or pet, common inflammation and seasonal allergy etc. Though it is an anti allergic medicine, it must not be taken without your doctor's advice. As it may have side effects as well. Each tablet of Montair LC composed of levocetirizine and montelukast in certain quantity. So, one must consult their doctor before taking it especially pregnant lady, childrens and those who are already on some medication.

The usage of Montair LC is useful in the following medical conditions.

  • In case of Allergy or having symptoms of allergic
  • Having Asthma or related allergy
  • Chronic asthma
  • In case of having allergies with pets.
