Shelcal tablet uses and side effect

Shelcal is a vitamin D supplement which is used to treat and control the disease like bones weakness, knee pain,  vitamin d deficiency and also helps body to observe the vitamin.
Although you can get the vitamin D in milk, curd, other milk products and vegetables but in certain medical condition or in old age, it is advised by doctors to treat vitamin d deficiency.
Shelcal composition
Any shelcal 500mg tablet consist of CALCIUM-500MG and CHOLECALCIFEROL-250I. You can find the composition at the backside of your shelcal 500mg tablet packing.
Here is the list of side effects of shelcal tablets
  • Vomiting and Nausea
  • Headache
  • Constipation or Loss of appetite
  • At time one may have stomach ache as well
If you observe any of these side effects, please consult your immediately.
Who should take shelcal
If you already going through few treatment and on medication, must consult to your doctor before taking a shelcal. However it is advised to take shelcal only if your doctor advise you in certain medical condition like:
  • kidney disease like kidney stones,
  • Gallbladder stone
  • heart disease
  • In case of cancer;
  • high levels of calcium in your blood and urine
  • circulation problems
  • a parathyroid gland disorder.
